We can make a program that has a similar function as TazPkg DevCom, for any distro. This will ensure that there il be proper 2-way communication between package creators and the linux audience/end users during package creation. It will thus help to improve linux development.
A customized variant of an open-source newsreader (like Sylpheed, Claws Mail, Pan or X Python Newsreader) should be made specifically for linux package development. It should have only newsgroup functionality (and not basic e-mail client functionality).
It should allow to subscribe only to a few news servers (like comp.os.linux.pd.LINUXDISTRONAME , linux.LINUXDISTRONAME.pd, ...) These news servers should also not have any expiration date set for the messages posted, yet writers of the post should be able to flag their message for removal. This is useful when the requested package has been made and has already been posted, so it is already available to others via the distro's package manager. Due to this requirement, a news server hence needs to be made to get the project working.
The newsreader should also have a "new" --> "packaging job request" and "packaging job acceptation" button.
By clicking this button, a standardised form will be made in the program that will be sent by it (after filling it in and clicking ok). The form will have following fields the user should fill in before being able to send it:
* Name of the packaging job requested or accepted
* Information on the packaging job (what needs to be done on it, remarks, ...)
* Your bitcoin wallet address
* Your github or sourceforge account (this is needed only for the person that would accept the package job, and is not needed for the requester). Finished packages would be posted on this account.
